What is Royal Ambassadors? The Royal Ambassador (RA) program seeks to help boys become aware of the need for Christ around the world. The boys learn about missions, and the way they can be involved where they live. Royal Ambassadors deals with the spiritual, physical, mental, and social aspects of a boy's life. Chapter meetings, advancement, mission activities, campcraft, and other fun activities provide the means for each boys development. The RA program is not a sports program, an advancement program, or a Bible study program, though each of these are an important part of the program. LADs are boys in grades 1 through 3 and are identified as LAD 1, LAD 2, and LAD 3. Crusaders are boys in grades 4 through 6 and are identified as Page, Squire, and Knight. How does the Royal Ambassadors Program Work? Each RA receives an advancement workbook and a campcraft workbook which they will complete to earn awards. There are specific workbooks for each grade level. The RAs will do much of the advancement and campcraft activities in class, however, some of the activities will need to be done at home. Please encourage your son in his advancement and campcraft activities. Your involvement and interest is time well spent. Royal Ambassador Chapter Meetings are every Wednesday evening from 7:00 to 8:00. At these meetings, the boys have mission study and prayer, as well as plan mission and interest activities. Royal Ambassadors have a pledge and a motto that helps to guide them. Each boy is required to memorize the pledge and motto and be able to tell what it means to each of them.
In addition to the Royal Ambassador pledge and motto, The LADs (grades 1, 2, & 3) and the Crusaders (grades 4, 5, & 6) each have a motto more suited for their age/grades.
